The Shredder’s endlessly expendable robot ninja army, churned out by the Technodrome and smashed apart by the Turtles in nearly every episode.

Unlike later versions of the Foot, the 1987 cartoon’s Foot Soldiers are robots, which let the Turtles destroy them by the dozen without the show losing its family-friendly rating. They rarely speak and usually carry blasters rather than traditional ninja weapons. A rare intelligent model, Alpha-1, briefly rebelled against Shredder in “The Foot Soldiers Are Revolting.”
