01PLOT

Krang has developed an interdimensional splitting device (which Rocksteady and Bebop mishear as "spitting") which will create a dimensional rift. However, he accidentally causes it to go off prematurely, and his android body is badly damaged.

At the lair, Michelangelo's loud music (courtesy of DJ Dickie Bark of WOOF) wakes the other three Turtles in the middle of the night, leading to his boombox and himself being ejected from the premises. But even that doesn't lead to peace and quiet, as the music is still loud enough to shake the lair.

On the Technodrome, Rocksteady and Bebop are listening to the same radio station. Krang is intrigued upon hearing that "everybody" in New York listens to it. He gives Shredder a device that will turn everything he says into a hypnotic command.

Shredder, Rocksteady and Bebop arrive in New York and track down the radio signal for WOOF... only to discover that it's actually Michelangelo and his boombox. Shredder demands to know where the station is, just as the other three Turtles arrive to rescue Michelangelo to drive them off.

Shredder detects that the radio transmission is coming from the ocean outside, and finds WOOF on a ship in the harbor. Krang opens "Krang's Chasm" nearby, while Rocksteady and Bebop tie up Dickie Bark. To make sure everyone is listening, Shredder switches every radio in the city to WOOF, much to Donatello's annoyance, and begins transmitting his commands to the population.

Donatello, Leonardo and Raphael all use white-noise earplugs that cancel out the radio transmissions. However, Michelangelo is immediately mesmerized by Shredder's voice, along with Irma. Krang calls the Turtles up just to tell them about Krang's Chasm.

The Turtles find Michelangelo just as he's about to walk into an enormous pit, just as a mesmerized April O'Neil is about to walk off a bridge. But before they can snap him out of it, Michelangelo falls off the bridge and into a bathtub piloted by Irma, which is heading to the pirate radio ship.

The Turtles manage to make the Turtle Van amphibious and head out to sea, where Donatello manages to overload the device that Shredder was using. Immediately the hypnotized people turn back to normal, and Michelangelo and Irma are rescued at the last second. Donatello steers the ship away from the dimensional rift, saving everyone on board.

Meanwhile, enraged "fans" attack Shredder, and prepare to make Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady walk the plank. Shredder pooh-poohs the idea that the Turtles would do such a thing, only for Krang to zap them instead, and they are sent into the rift.

Back at the lair, Michelangelo comes in with his boombox again. Disgusted, the other three destroy it, only to reveal that it was actually advertising a pizza sale.

05NOTES & GOOFS

  • The Technodrome is now back in the original spot it crash-landed on despite moving away from there in "The Ice Creature Cometh".
  • When Krang delivers his message to Donatello in the Turtle Van, the torso part of his android body is colored yellow.
  • Shredder is seen holding the Ventrilocoder when Krang asks where the music is coming from when Bebop and Rocksteady are messing around with the radio, even before the device is introduced to him.
  • Leonardo is seen with a bo on his back when he and the others run away from the Turtle Van to help Michelangelo in his hypnotic state.
  • The bottom of Rocksteady's shoulder strap is missing after he and Bebop land in the dumpster.
  • When the Turtle Van stops in the middle of the traffic, the "Turtles" writing on its hood/bonnet is misspelled as "Tutles".
  • When the three Turtles jump off their Cheapskates when saving Michelangelo, the strapping detailing on Donatello's bo is on the bottom parts of the weapon and the middle strapping itself is flat white.
  • The foot plates on the Cheapskates are colored brown when they stop at Bebop and Rocksteady's feet.
  • When the Turtles are debating whether to save some pizza for Michelangelo, Raphael and Leonardo repeatedly switch places at the table. Also, Raphael's voice comes out of Leonardo's mouth briefly.
