01PLOT

Leonardo, Donatello and Raphael are beating up dummies shaped like their enemies. However, Michelangelo keeps slacking off with his Space Trek video game, which is also extremely distracting to the other Turtles.

On the Technodrome, Krang is tuning-up his android body, making sure its many functions are still working well. Bebop accidentally peanut-butters and chews on an important microchip from the body, so Rocksteady quickly substitutes the chip from his own Space Trek game. Predictably, this causes the body to malfunction when it's reactivated, attacking imaginary aliens and destroying equipment, before escaping.

Upon reaching New York, the body starts trashing everything it sees. Rocksteady and Bebop are no match for it, and Shredder - having fallen down into a pit - has completely forgotten who he is. He wanders off.

The Turtles are called by April to deal with the disturbance caused by the body, but they end up cornered by it. After escaping through a hole blasted in the wall behind them, the Turtles realize that Krang isn't in the body, but it still retains its immense strength and versatility in a fight. All the Turtles are easily disarmed and defeated.

Meanwhile, a confused Shredder throws away his com unit and defeats a couple of thugs who are mugging a man, because "this is _my_ alley." The grateful mugging-victim happens to own a fireworks factory nearby, and offers Shredder a foreman job there. Shredder immediately decides to use the gunpowder there to create a massive explosive device in order to take over the city (although he's not sure why he's doing this).

Once the Turtles have reunited, they end up apprehending Rocksteady and Bebop, and demanding to know what's going on with Krang's body. Donatello tries to turn the body off, but accidentally hits the wrong switch, causing the body to expand drastically instead. The body's size keeps fluctuating between enormous and tiny during the fight that ensues.

As they arrive at City Hall, they find Shredder about to set up his explosive, but he has no memory of them. When Vernon pesters Shredder for an interview, he tumbles down the stairs and regains his memory of who he is.

Michelangelo has a brainstorm, plugging his video game into the body so that he is now able to control it remotely. He turns the body against Shredder and his cronies, tossing the bomb Shredder made into the belly section. When it shrinks down again, the bomb is detonated and the body is blown up.

Back on the Technodrome, Krang rages about his "beautiful" body being wrecked.

At the lair, the Turtles admit that they were wrong about Michelangelo's video games... but as he starts playing again, the game explodes in his face.

• This episode aired as the season opener when it was aired in the UK, Plus Season 7 was aired directly after Season 6, treating both seasons as one whole.
• This is the final episode where Shredder removes his _menpō_ mask.
• Among the lines proclaimed by Krang's outfit is "Enemy Zygons! Exterminate!" This refers to two monsters from the British science-fiction TV series, _Doctor Who_: both the Zygons and the catchphrase of the Daleks, "Exterminate!"
• Similarly, the Space Trek video game is clearly based on _Star Trek_, as evidenced by the distinctive shape of the starship.
• When Splinter tells Michelangelo that playing video games does not help practice, Raphael's and Leonardo's colors switch in a single shot.
• When Leonardo lifts up the giant coffee cup that Bebop and Rocksteady are trapped under, the colors on Rocksteady's dagger and sheath are switched.
• The red tips on Rocksteady's laser blaster are missing when he asks where Shredder went to after he fell into the hole in the road.
• When Krang's robot corners the Turtles against a wall, the weapons on its arms are replaced with its regular hands in one particular shot.
• When Raphael uses a manhole cover as a weapon, there's no hole underneath it when he picks it up.
• After Krang's robot disarms Donatello of his Bo staff, he quickly reacquires it shortly afterwards despite never picking it up.
